Here for sale we have an Ibanez RG655 Prestige in Cobalt Blue finish. Made in Japan in 2015, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising a Basswood body, 5-piece Maple​/​Walnut neck and 24 Jumbo fret Rosewood fingerboard. Cosmo Black hardware is fitted, including an Ibanez Edge double-locking tremolo system and Gotoh SG381 tuning machines. A trio of Dimarzio pickups are installed in an HSH configuration, with a Tone Zone humbucker in the bridge, True Velvet single-coil in the middle and a Air Norton humbucker in the neck position. These are wired to a 5-way blade switch, master volume and master tone controls. The 5-piece Maple​/​Walnut neck plays very well, with the Super Wizard HP Prestige profile feeling exceptionally articulate and slender in the hand, facilitating fast technical playing across the register. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its 16.9" and Jumbo frets is practical for a wide range of playing styles and techniques. Vibrato and string bending is particularly smooth thanks to the jumbo frets. The generous cutaways and Ibanez' 'All Access Neck Joint' offer unrestricted reach into the upper register. The trio of Dimarzio passive pickups are installed in an HSH configuration, and with 5-way switching deliver a wide array of tones for the player to use. The Air Norton neck humbucker is round and clear, with plenty of power to push your lead lines and solos to the front of the mix. The Tone Zone bridge humbucker is brighter, and with a high output saturates into a full-bodied distortion when driving the amp. The True Velvet single-coil in the middle position cleans up nicely, allowing for shimmering chords and funky tones. An exceptional example of the Ibanez Prestige range. Light indentations are present on the top edge tip of the headstock, these have not pierced the finish. It is difficult to discern any other markings to the headstock. Neck: Overall excellent condition, it is difficult to discern any markings to the neck and fingerboard. Body: Overall very good condition, the front face demonstrates light scratching visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. The edges of the instrument demonstrate chipping revealing the wood beneath around the perimeter. This is most apparent to the tips of both horns and both sides of the lower bout. Finish cracking is apparent to both corners of the neck pocket, not affecting structure. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate light signs of use with some denting and flattening in the early and middle register, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for future fret work. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Truss rod tool (7mm socket) not included. Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of wear.
