JWJ Custom Parlour Aged Red Cedar Natural Satin 2024
Here for sale we have a JWJ Parlour Custom All-Solid Acoustic Guitar in Natural Satin finish. Made in the United Kingdom in 2024, this guitar consists of a Solid Aged Red Cedar top, Solid European Walnut back and sides, a Honduran Mahogany neck, and a 19-fret African Ebony fingerboard. Other appointments include Kluson open back 18:1 ratio tuners, a Bone nut and saddle, and a slotted headstock with a beautifully shaped volute for extended durability. JWJ Guitars is a small-batch acoustic guitar maker based in the countryside of Shropshire, UK, where luthier Rich Jones hand-builds each instrument with precision and care. Drawing inspiration from vintage, golden-era acoustics, JWJ focuses on tone, playability, and craftsmanship. The guitars feature premium tonewoods, torrefied bracing, satin nitro finishes, and custom neck profiles, all designed to deliver a pure and resonant sound. The Honduran Mahogany neck plays very well, with the 'D' profile working in conjunction with the gloss finish to the rear to provide a smooth and responsive playing experience in all registers. The African Ebony fingerboard is luxurious under the fingers, and with it's 12" radius offers a perfect balance between comfortable chord playing and practicality for fingerstyle and even slide techniques. The Parlor body size feels nicely compact and is supremely comfortable in the arms, delivering a lively yet intimate playing experience. The voice of the JWJ Parlour Custom is well balanced and detailed. The low end is unpronounced yet precise, adding a pleasant warmth to the sound. The mid range is punchy, whilst the top end is sparkly and bright, colouring every note played on the guitar with a rich brilliance. The all-solid, light-weight construction of the guitar ensures an exquisite resonance that provides a sense of lively responsiveness to the playing experience. The solid aged Red Cedar top helps the guitar project well, and whilst the Parlor body size keeps the volume relatively low, there is still plenty of dynamic range to be found in this instrument. It's easy to see why JWJ guitars are becoming so widely regarded as some of the best on the market today.
