All designs​/​creations except Artist Signature models are named after Native Indian river names in North-America. Wood & materials are carefully selected and processes are state-of the art. Everyone at Knaggs guitars is a highly skilled professional – together they have over 150 years of experience in creating extraordinary instruments. Hand-Made in The United States of American in 2017, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising an Alder body with a stunning Quilted Maple top, a Flamed Maple neck and fingerboard adorned with Black Diamond inlays which feature 22 EVO Jumbo frets. Nickel hardware is fitted including a Gotoh Floating tremolo bridge and Gotoh Locking tuning machines, whilst a Graphite nut is installed to the top of the neck. The pickups installed into this guitar are a Seymour Duncan TB-4 humbucker in the bridge position whilst a pair of Seymour Duncan ATX.K single-coils are positioned in the middle and neck, these are wired to a 5-way selector switch, bridge volume, neck volume and a master tone control with a push​/​pull coil-split feature. The Flamed Maple neck plays quickly and effortlessly, with the “Knaggs C with Slight V” profile offering a nicely flat playing surface which is ideal for faster playing styles, whilst offering a slim grip to enhance playing endurance and fret control, The EVO Jumbo fret wire feels rock solid, enhancing vibrato feel and making for strategic, limitless bending. The dual cutaways work in conjunction with the sculpted neck heel and tapered lower horn to provide excellent access to the upper register. The hardware keeps the Severn X feeling very secure with the highly regarded Gotoh Floating tremolo and locking tuning machines, perfect for more aggressive playing styles that often push instruments out of tune. The trio of Seymour Duncan pickups installed in this guitar deliver a wide range of tones thanks to their HSS configuration. They produce a moderate output for a natural clean voicing, accurately reflecting subtle playing nuances and responding well to small adjustments of the controls. The bridge humbucker delivers a punchy tone, with plenty of brightness to bring your playing front and centre in the mix. The neck and middle single-coils provide a smooth and rounded tone, whilst retaining a shimmer which really shines through with clean tones. The addition of the push​/​pull coil split provides further versatility, ensuring this guitar is ready for wherever the gig or your playing journey takes you.
