Made in the USA in 2006, this guitar consists of a Textured Enamel body, a Maple neck, and a 24-fret Ebony fingerboard. Other appointments include an Ebony bridge, Die-Cast Sealed Ovation tuners, a compensated saddle, and an Ovation OP-Pro Pre-Amp with an Undersaddle Pickup. This preamp has controls for gain, a 3-band EQ, a Pre-EQ button, and an on-board tuner. The Maple neck plays well, with the Soft ‘V’ profile filling the hand comfortably without being at all cumbersome and offering a solid grip for effortless chordal playing. The Medium Jumbo frets also enhance chordal playing as well as making articulate melodic playing more practical providing effortless navigation of the entire 10” radius. The cutaway design offers excellent access to the upper register whilst the Bowl back sits comfortably against the body in both seated and standing positions. The 1778T Elite provides a bright and sparkly voice, with a focussed mid range that keeps things punchy. The low end is understated yet detailed, giving the guitar a very distinctive tone. The use of Ebony for the fingerboard and bridge ensure a fast and snappy attack that captures every nuance of your playing. The Textured Enamel top projects a pleasantly surprising bright and dynamic sonic range that sings each note complementing the tonal range of the Enamel back and Ebony fingerboard. The preamp system does a great job of interpreting the natural tone of the guitar, whilst the easy to use controls provide the player with comprehensive control of the amplified tone, perfect for a gigging musician. Our ID: 1190825127300 Weight: 5.15lbs Serial: 606981 Aesthetic Condition: Headstock: Overall very good condition. Light to mild indentations are present to the edges of the headstock most noticeable to the top edge where this has pierced the finish. The front face of the headstock displays light scratching and haziness of the finish, this can be seen under direct light. The natural wood to the headstock displays discolouration, this is common with natural finishes over time. Neck: Overall very good condition. Light scratching can be seen to the fingerboard in the early register, these can not be felt in the playing position and can be seen under close scrutiny. The satin finish to the rear of the neck has been polished to a gloss texture, this is common with regular past use. Light indentations are present across the register to the rear of the neck, these can slightly be felt in the playing position. A small crack is present to the strap button at the treble side of the neck heel, this does not affect the structure of the instrument. Body: Overall very good condition. Light to mild discoloration is present to all aspects of the body, the most noticeable of these can be seen to the treble side waist consistent with regular past use. Light paint transfer is present to the treble side lower bout edge. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate moderate signs of use, not affecting playability. Denting and flattening of the frets is apparent throughout the register. There is light material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
