Here for sale we have a PRS Artist Package Custom 22 Electric Guitar in Violin Amber finish. Built in the USA in 2000, this set-neck constructed guitar consists of a Mahogany body with a Quilted Maple top, a Mahogany neck, and a 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include a vintage-style 6-point tremolo bridge, PRS Winged Locking Tuners, and a set of Dragon II Treble and Bass pickups. These pickups are wired to a master volume, master tone, and a 5-way rotary pickup selector. The Mahogany neck plays superbly well, with the 'Wide Fat' profile offering a smooth, responsive and articulate paying experience in all registers. Certainly, the profile is well suited to lead players as it is slim enough for fast melodic lines and solos. The gloss finish to the rear of the neck assists with navigation of the 25" scale, and the double cutaway body design with signature PRS sculpted lower horn enhances access to the upper frets. The Rosewood of the fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, its 10" radius feeling practical for a wide range of playing styles and techniques whilst the attractive bordered Abalone inlays add a touch of luxury to the playing experience. The pair of PRS Dragon II humbucking pickups installed in this guitar deliver thick and full-bodied tones, with plenty of switching options to ensure versatility. The Dragon II Bass in the neck position is warm and round, and delivers plenty of power to push those lead lines and solos to the front of the mix. The Dragon II Treble in the bridge is brighter, and can handle serious amounts of gain for a saturated rhythm guitar sound on your riffs and power chords. In positions 2 & 4 the pickups effectively split, providing an out-of-phase single coil sound which works well for crystal clear shimmering clean sounds. The control layout remains simple but offers plenty of scope for shaping your tone. Neck: Overall excellent condition, it is difficult to discern any markings to the neck and fingerboard. Body: Overall very good condition, the front face demonstrates a light indentation piercing the finish very slightly between the control knobs. Some very light scratching can be identified between the pickups towards the treble side waist, consistent with the use of a plectrum. This scratching is only visible under direct lighting at certain angles. The rear face demonstrates light scratching visible only under direct lighting at certain angles, consistent with buckle rash. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for future fret work. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional.
