Here for sale we have a PRS CE22 in Black Gloss finish. Made in the USA in 1999, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising a Mahogany body, Mahogany neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Nickel hardware is fitted including a vintage-style 6-point tremolo bridge and PRS locking tuning machines. A pair of Dragon II humbucking pickups are installed. These are wired to a 5-way rotary knob, master volume and master tone controls. The Mahogany neck plays beautifully, with a ‘Wide Thin’ profile, which offers comfortable playability and easy reach across the register. The gloss finish to the rear assists with smooth navigation of the 25" scale length, whilst the single cutaway body design ensures easy access to the upper frets. The Rosewood of the fretboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its traditional 10" radius is practical for a wide range of playing styles and techniques. The body feels comfortable in the arms and is easier on the shoulders at 8lbs whilst retaining enough weight to feel authentic. The pair of Dragon II humbucking pickups installed in this guitar deliver thick and full-bodied tones, exemplifying the rock and blues tones.The neck position is warm and round, with plenty of power for pushing your lead lines and solos to the front of the mix. The bridge is of course brighter, perfect for rock rhythm parts and riffing because it can handle a serious amount of gain. There is all of the snarl and bite yet at the same time definition and clarity is retained. The pickups clean up nicely too, with shimmering clean sounds ready for the softer sections of the set. Our ID: 123042595190 Weight: 8lbs Serial: 9 CE20584 Aesthetic Condition: Headstock: Overall very good condition, both sides of the headstock demonstrate finish cracks where the guitar would make contact with a hanger. These are not of structural concern. A moderate chip to the finish is apparent to the treble side rear bottom corner, which reveals the wood beneath. Further lighter chipping and indentation is apparent to all top corners. Some light scratching is apparent to all aspects of the headstock under direct lighting at certain angles. Neck: Overall very good condition, the rear of the neck demonstrates light indentation throughout the register, most notable behind the 8th fret to the center. This can be slightly felt under the thumb but does not affect the overall playability of the instrument. The fingerboard demonstrate very light playwear in the early register, difficult to discern against the natural grain. Body: Overall very good condition, all aspects of the body demonstrate very light scratching and indentation . This is most notable between the pickups and the treble side waist and to the rear face towards the bottom edge. Indentations can be seen along the treble edge of the body. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for future fret work.
