Here for sale we have a PRS Custom 22 in Livingston Lemondrop finish. Made in the USA in 2012, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Mahogany body with Flame Maple top, Mahogany neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard, inlaid with bordered abalone birds. Nickel hardware is fitted including a vintage-style 6-point tremolo bridge and PRS locking open-gear tuning machines. A pair of PRS humbucking pickups are installed, with a HFS in the bridge position and a Vintage Bass in the neck. These are wired to a 5-way blade switch, master volume and master tone controls. The Mahogany neck plays superbly well, with the 'Pattern Thin' profile offering a smooth, responsive and articulate paying experience in all registers. Certainly, the profile is well suited to lead players as it is slim enough for fast melodic lines and solos. The gloss finish to the rear of the neck assists with navigation of the 25" scale, and the double cutaway body design with signature PRS sculpted lower horn enhances access to the upper frets. The Rosewood of the fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, it's 10" radius feeling practical for a wide range of playing styles and techniques whilst the attractive bordered Abalone inlays add a touch of luxury to the playing experience. The pair of PRS humbucking pickups installed in this guitar deliver thick and full-bodied tones, with plenty of switching options to ensure versatility. The Vintage Bass in the neck position is warm and round, and delivers plenty of power to push those lead lines and solos to the front of the mix. The HFS in the bridge is brighter, and can handle serious amounts of gain for a saturated rhythm guitar sound on your riffs and power chords. In positions 2 & 4 the pickups effectively split, providing an out-of-phase single coil sound which works well for crystal clear shimmering clean sounds. The control layout remains simple but offers plenty of scope for shaping your tone. The top edge of the headstock demonstrates light chipping to the edges exposing the wood beneath. There is another very small indentation beside the low 'E' machine head which exposes the wood beneath. Light scratching is evident to all aspects of the headstock under close scrutiny. Neck: Overall very good condition. The binding on the treble side of the neck demonstrates some light indentations which do not break the finish, specifically beside the 2nd and 12th fret. There is a scratch just above the neck heel. Overall very good condition. There is moderate scratching and small indentations to all faces of the body under close scrutiny, specifically to the rear of the guitar around the tremolo control plate and on the front face where a pick would strike the body in a playing position. Small indentations can be felt around the binding on the front face around the perimeter. There are two slightly more significant indentations on the rear edge of the body just beneath the heel of the neck, neither of which break the finish. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate minimal signs of use, with very light flattening of the crown not effecting playability.
