Here for sale we have a PRS S2 Custom 24 Electric Guitar in Fire Red Burst finish. Made in the USA in 2022, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Mahogany body with a Flame Maple top, Mahogany neck, and Rosewood fingerboard. This guitar is fitted with PRS Low Mass Locking tuning machines and a PRS Patented Moulded Tremolo. The pickups featured are a pair of PRS 85​/​15 ‘S’ humbuckers, these are wired to a three way selector switch, master volume and a master tone control with a push​/​pull coil split. The Mahogany neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the gloss finish to the rear allowing for fluid movement and ergonomic thumb placement up and down the neck. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers and with its 10" radius offers a nice balance between vintage feel and practicality for string bending. Jumbo frets provide a rock-solid playing experience whilst also enhancing string bending and vibrato techniques. The double cutaway body design with generous contours leave plenty of room for even the largest of hands right into the upper register. The PRS 85​/​15 ‘S’ pickups are clear and articulate with a flexible yet cutting sound, they sound warm and round, with plenty of scope for rich and shimmering clean sounds through to heavy rock or even metal tones. The neck pickup offers plenty of warmth and roundness, whilst the bridge pickup offers plenty of brightness and bite. The volume and tone controls are very interactive and with. The addition of the push​/​pull coil split provides great versatility, perfect for crisp, sparkling clean tones. Chipping of the finish is present to both the top of the bass side front face and treble side top edge, these expose the wood beneath. All aspects of the headstock display light scratching which can be seen under direct light, as is common with high gloss finishes. Neck: Overall very good condition. Mild scratching is present to the rear face across the register, these can be slightly felt in the playing position. A light indentation is present to the rear of the neck behind the 6th fret, this lightly exposes the wood beneath. Any markings to the fingerboard are difficult to discern. Body: Overall very good condition. Light indentations and chipping of the finish can be seen to the edges of the body, some of these have exposed the wood beneath. All aspects of the body display light to mild scratching which can be seen under direct light, as is common with high gloss finishes. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
