Here for sale we have a PRS S2 electric guitar in Violin Amber Sunburst finish. Made in the USA in 2016, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Mahogany body with Bevelled Flamed Maple top, Mahogany neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Nickel hardware is fitted including a PRS Adjustable Stoptail bridge and PRS-designed sealed tuning machines. A pair of PRS 57​/​08' humbucking pickups are installed, and are wired to a 3-way toggle switch, independent volume controls and two tone controls with push​/​pull coil-splitting. The Mahogany neck plays very well, with the Pattern Regular profile filling the hand nicely for a substantial grip when chord playing, yet remaining slim enough for fast articulate melodic lines and solos. The gloss finish to the rear assists with smooth navigation of the 25" scale, whilst the signature PRS sculpted lower horn enhances access to the upper frets. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its 10" radius is practical for both chordal and melodic playing. The pair of PRS 57​/​08 humbucking pickups installed in this guitar deliver full-bodied powerful tones, with a smooth and buttery attack that is well suited to a wide range of playing styles and genres. The neck pickup is warm, with plenty of power to push your solos and lead lines to the front of the mix. The bridge pickup is of course brighter and hotter, saturating into a snarling distortion when driving the amp; perfect for those rock riffs and rhythm parts. The pickups clean up nicely too, with shimmering clean sounds.Further versatility is granted via the push​/​pull coil split, offering gorgeous sparkling single coil tones. There is a shadow in the finish from the original truss rod cover. The sides demonstrate some chipping to the top corners, revealing the wood beneath. Neck: Overall very good condition, the rear of the neck demonstrates light to moderate indentations throughout the register. Some of these pierce the finish slightly, with the most notable behind the 1st fret. These can be felt under the thumb in playing position. Body: Overall very good condition, the front face demonstrates light to moderate indentation across the lower bout and treble side waist, with speckling of the finish apparent throughout. The sides and edges demonstrate some indentation particularly to the bottom rear edge where markings pierce and chip the finish slightly. The rear demonstrates consistent light scratching and indentation. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate moderate signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for future fret work. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5​/​16" socket) not included.
