Here for sale we have a Revelation RJT60 Marakesh Quarter Tone Electric Guitar in Sand Storm finish. Made in 202, this incredibly unique bolt-on constructed guitar features an Okoume body, a Maple 'C' shaped neck, and a 20-fret Lignum-Rosa fingerboard. Other appointments include Revelation Vintage Style tuners, a Contemporary 6 Hole mount Vintage tremolo bridge, and a Nylon nut. The guitar has been fitted with two Entwistle X90 Ceramic pickups, and these are wired to a master volume, master tone, 3-way pickup selector, and a 5-way rotary switch. The Gloss Maple neck plays very well, with the ‘C’ profile sitting very comfortably in the hand and promotes ergonomic hand positioning, feeling smooth whilst providing an articulate playing experience, perfect for accurate microtonal playing. The Lignum-Rosa fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers and offers a tactile and durable playing surface. The 29 frets are fascinating and do take a bit of getting used to if this is your first soiree into microtonal music, but the joy of experimenting with them is a feeling that cannot be found often. The guitar is fitted with two Entwistle AL90 pickups which provide this guitar with a very unique tone. The P-90 pickups sound thick and raw, with a solid output that pushes the front end of an amp nicely. The lows are full and tight sound, the midrange is powerful, easily cutting through a mix, along with the biting high frequencies. The pickups are very dynamic sounding, more so than the slightly compressed nature of humbuckers, while offering more power than is usually associated with single coils. The 5-way Rotary switch also allows you to explore every tone possible and acts as a Jazzmaster-esque circuit board.
