The G2 has an open sounding tone with a delicious break-up that works great for blues, indie and classic rock, but it can also be cranked into more distorted tones that would sound ripping for punk and hard rock. Blue Drive: The Blue drive setting takes the pedal into a slightly more bluesy territory, with a mid-range squawk that'll work great with solos and adds punch to rhythm tones. Red Drive: The Red drive gives the pedal a serious kick, with a tight and slightly scooped overdrive that's great for harder riffing and would give an excellent edge for soloing. "Off" gives you a full-range boost and a wide gain range use this mode to push the front end of a good tube amp.
