Rickenbacker 4003 Jetglo 2017 Electric Bass Guitar

Here for sale we have a Rickenbacker 4003 Electric Stereo Bass in Jetglo finish. Made in the USA 2017, this guitar features a neck-thru construction comprising a 2-piece Maple neck, Maple body and 20 fret lacquered Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include Schaller machine heads, a V2 bridge, and a RIC tailpiece. A pair of Rickenbacker single-coil pickups are fitted, and are wired to a 3-way toggle switch, independent volume and tone controls and a push/pull bass cut circuit on the treble tone knob. The Maple neck plays very well, with what might be described as a shallow 'D' profile that provides a comfortable flattened area to the centre for the thumb to rest. The lacquered Rosewood fingerboard offers a smooth and durable playing surface that is pleasant under the fingers. It's 10" radius ensures practicality for fast lines and string bending techniques, perfect for the modern player. The large cutaways work in conjunction with the neck-thru construction to provide uninhibited access to the upper register, whilst the smooth lines of the body and ergonomic contours enhance comfort on long gigs. One of the most unique features of this bass is that the player has the ability to mute the strings by using the thumbwheels either side of the V2 bridge to deploy the foam mutes. This is great for getting that vintage, muted sound, or even finding interesting in-between sounds to experiment with. Amplified, The pair of single coil pickups deliver a versatile yet instantly recognisable tone. The neck pickup sounds full and warm whilst retaining an impressive level of detail. The bridge pickup provides a throaty and powerful midrange, with plenty of snappy high frequencies that will ensure you can cut through any mix. The controls really allow you to dial the contrast of the pickups to taste, working very well across an array of genres. The addition of the push/pull bass cut circuit and the option of a stereo output provides further tonal options to an already versatile bass.
