Here for sale we have a Sire Marcus Miller V3 Electric Bass in a Tobacco Sunburst finish from 2018. Made in Indonesia, this Bass features a Mahogany body, a Canadian Hard Maple ‘C’-shaped neck, a 20-fret Rosewood fingerboard, a set of Marcus Standard-J Revolution pickups and a Marcus Miller Preamp system. The ‘C’ profile Maple neck is comfortable to play on and the satin finish lets the hand move effortlessly around the fingerboard. The frets are nicely rolled off on the edges and are a medium size, the dual cutaways give plenty of access all the way up to the 20th fret. The 9.5” radius strikes a perfect balance for easy fretting and sliding. The Marcus Miller Preamp is incredibly flexible and allows the player to dial in a wide array of tones. The sweepable mid pot lets you set the desired frequency anywhere between 80hz and 2khz, very convenient when trying to find the desired sound. The active​/​passive switch along with the bass EQ gives you all of the power you could ever need, taking you all the way from crisp and articulate to deep earth shattering bass. As discussed in the Luthier Report below, the neck pickup seems to not be working on the current circuit and although this is not ideal, the EQ provides a broad range of tones, so even without the neck pickup you still have lots of tonal options. The front face demonstrates light scratching visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. Neck: Overall excellent condition, a small indentation chipping the finish is apparent to the fingerboard edge beside the nut on the treble side. Body: Overall very good condition, all aspects of the body demonstrate light scratching and indentation visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. These markings do not pierce the finish. The bottom edge demonstrates some scuffing which we have been unable to remove through regular cleaning. The rear face demonstrates a moderate indentation which cracks the finish. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for future fret work. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5mm hex) not included.
