Here for sale we have a Squier Pro-Tone Stratocaster in 3-Colour Sunburst finish. Made in Korea in 1997, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising an Ash body, One-Piece Maple neck and 21 fret Rosewood fingerboard. This guitar is equipped with a 6-Saddle Tremolo and a set of die-cast tuning machines. A trio of Alnico single-coils are installed, these are wired to a 5-way blade switch, master volume, bridge​/​middle Tone and a neck tone controls. The Satin Maple neck plays very well, with the C’ profile sitting very comfortably in the hand and promoting ergonomic hand positioning, feeling smooth whilst providing an articulate playing experience. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers and offers a tactile and durable playing surface. The 9.5" radius delivers a suitably vintage-inspired playing experience whilst retaining practicality for lead lines and string bending. The smooth lines of the Stratocaster body along with generous body contours are as comfortable and familiar as ever, ensuring that long gigs and practice sessions are a breeze. The trio of Alnico Single-Coils installed in this instrument deliver classic Stratocaster tone. The bridge pickup provides bright and glistening trebles with plenty of spank, power chords sound gritty, whilst also providing soaring lead tones. However, with subtler amp settings the bridge offers a bright, glassy clean tone. The middle pickup produces bright trebles and full warm bass, and lends itself well to rhythm tones. The neck pickup has rounded creamer tones great for chordal phrasings or quick jazz style lines, whilst also handling higher gain settings masterfully, offering plenty of room for tonal sculpting. Luthier Report Our ID: 110032584880 Weight: 7.9lbs Serial: KC97116225 Aesthetic Condition: Headstock: Overall very good condition, the top edge demonstrates light indentation and scuffing that does not pierce the finish. The treble side front edge demonstrates a more notable but still light indentation beside the "Stratocaster" logo, which does not pierce the finish. Neck: Overall very good condition, the rear of the neck demonstrates light indentation in places, most notably behind the first fret and behind the 11th fret. Both of these markings are to the center and can be slightly felt under the thumb in playing position, not affecting the overall playability of the instrument. Further lighter indentation is apparent infrequently throughout the register. The fingerboard demonstrates light indentation consistent with playwear in the early to middle register which cannot be felt under the string in playing position. Body: Overall very good condition, the bottom edge of the guitar demonstrates consistent light to moderate scratching, scuffing and indentation.. Lighter scratching and indentation, not piercing the finish, is frequently apparent to all aspects of the body visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. The treble side of the neck pocket demonstrates a small finish crack, typical of bolt on construction which does not affect the structure of the instrument. Condition of Frets: This guitar has had a fret level and re-crown to ensure the best playability. There is considerable material remaining for future fret work.
