Here for sale we have a Squier Standard Stratocaster Electric Guitar in Sunburst finish. Made in China in 2002 to celebrate Squier's 20th anniversary, this bolt-on neck construction guitar consists of a Basswood body, a Maple neck, and a 22-fret fingerboard. Other appointments include a 2-Point Synchronized Tremolo, a set of sealed tuning machines, and a trio of upgraded Seymour Duncan California 50's single coil pickups. These pickups are wired to a master volume, neck tone, middle tone, and a 5-way pickup selector. The Satin Maple neck plays very well, with the ‘C’ profile sitting very comfortably in the hand and promotes ergonomic hand positioning, feeling smooth whilst providing an articulate playing experience. The Maple fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers and offers a tactile and durable playing surface. The 9.5" radius delivers a suitably vintage-inspired playing experience whilst retaining practicality for lead lines and string bending, further enhanced by the Medium frets. The smooth lines of the Stratocaster body along with generous body contours are as comfortable and familiar as ever, ensuring that long gigs and practice sessions are a breeze. The trio of upgraded Seymour Duncan single-coils installed in this instrument deliver classic Stratocaster tone. The bridge pickup provides bright and glistening trebles with plenty of spank, power chords sound gritty, whilst also providing soaring lead tones. However, with subtler amp settings the bridge offers a bright, glassy clean tone. The middle pickup produces bright trebles and full warm bass, and lends itself well to rhythm tones. The neck pickup has rounded creamer tones great for chordal phrasings or quick jazz style lines, whilst also handling higher gain settings masterfully, offering plenty of room for tonal sculpting. Our ID: 122042594620 Weight: 7.6lbs Serial: CY02060648 Aesthetic Condition: Headstock: Overall very good condition, the top edge demonstrates consistent light indentation which continues on to the top of the rear face. Some of these markings pierce the finish. Further less frequent indentation can be identified around the perimeter, most notably to the rear treble side edge. Neck: Overall very good condition, the rear of the neck demonstrates a moderate indentation to the bass side by the 3rd fret which can be slightly felt under the thumb in playing position, not affecting the overall playability of the instrument. Further consistent light indentation and scratching is apparent throughout the register. The finish to the fingerboard demonstrates some wear beside frets and staining which we have been unable to remove through regular cleaning. Body: Overall good condition, the front face, bottom edge, rear edge and rear face all demonstrate consistent chipping of the finish, revealing the wood beneath. This is most concentrated to the bottom edge. All aspects of the body demonstrate light to moderate scratching, most notable to the center of the rear face. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate light signs of use, with some flattening of the crowns apparent throughout the register not affecting playability. There is moderate material remaining for future fret work. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional. Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of use. Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
