Here for sale we have a Squier Vista Series Musicmaster Electric Bass in Sonic Blue finish. Made in China in 1996, this short-scale bass features a bolt-on construction comprising an Alder body, Maple neck and a 19-fret Rosewood fingerboard. The Nickel hardware consists of a 4-Saddle Mustang Strings-Through-Body bridge and a set of vintage-style tuning machines. The pickup installed is a Single-Coil which is wired to a master volume and master tone control. The Maple neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the ‘C’ profile allowing for comfortable reach in all registers and promoting ergonomic thumb positioning. The 9.5” radius Rosewood fingerboard provides a comfortable playing surface, and along with the 1.65” nut width facilitates different techniques such as slap bass or chordal playing. The Gloss finish is fantastic for fluid, quick transitions up and down the neck whilst the offset body design with dual cutaways allows the player to have unobstructed access to the entire register This bass is equipped with a Single-Coil pickup. This is a versatile platform which provides a deep and powerful tone. Deep, warm and rounded low ends are well complemented by the clear, precise mids and glistening trebles, making this bass sound a lot bigger than it looks. Our ID: 1030925131921 Weight: 7.8lbs Serial: YN696031 Aesthetic Condition: Headstock: Overall very good condition, the front face demonstrates a chip towards the treble side edge revealing the wood beneath. Light scratching is apparent under direct lighting at certain angles. The edges of the headstock, particularly the front edge, demonstrate indentations and chipping of the finish around the perimeter of the headstock. This is most notable to the top and treble side edges. Some of these markings continue onto the rear face, particularly towards the top edge. Neck: Overall very good condition, the rear of the neck demonstrates some moderate indentation and a small burn mark behind the 1st fret, with the burn being located to the bass side edge of the fingerboard. Further very light indentation is apparent throughout the register which can be very slightly felt beneath the thumb in playing position. The fingerboard demonstrates some moderate indentation to the treble side between the 6th and 7th frets, with further string indentations apparent in various areas throughout the register. These cannot be felt beneath the string. Body: Overall good condition, the front face demonstrates several chips and indentations to the finish consistently across the face. The most apparent of these is to the bass side of the lower bout where a large chip reveals the wood beneath, with surrounding indentation piercing the finish. The sides and edges demonstrate similar markings, with the most notable area being a patch of chips, indentations and finish cracking to the treble side of the lower bout. The rear face demonstrates consistent chipping, indentation, paint transfer, scuffing and scratching is apparent evenly across the entire face. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate moderate signs of use with some indentation in the early register and flattening of the crowns throughout. This does not affect playability. There is a small amount of material remaining for future fret work. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5mm hex) not included.
