Status Shark Sunburst 5-String Electric Bass

Here for sale we have a Status Shark 5-String Electric Bass in Sunburst finish. Made in England, this bolt-on constructed bass consists of an Alder body, a Maple neck, and a 24-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include a Status Sealed Die-Cast tuner and a top-loading 5-saddle bridge. A soapbar pickup is installed, this is wired to a master volume, active switch, 3-way tone switch and stacked bass and treble knobs. The gloss finish Maple neck plays very well, feeling effortless with a reasonably shallow 'D' profile that gives enough to hold on to, without getting in the way, complemented well by the 1.880" nut width that gives comfortable string spacing without feeling unwieldy. Dual cutaways and the neck heel give unobstructed access to the upper frets, while the smoothly contoured body offers a connected playing experience, really letting you feel every note. The Soapbar pickup has a tight, modern sound, with a rich yet controlled low end, a tight and punchy midrange, along with clear and precise highs. The active preamp system offers controls for treble and bass, perfect for sculpting a range of different tones without an overwhelming amount of controls. If you're looking for a workhorse with a girthy sounding pickup and a solid EQ, this is the one for you!
