Made in Indonesia this guitar features a bolt-on construction consisting of a Nyatoh body, a Hard Maple neck and 22 Medium high fret Hard Maple fingerboard. This instrument is fitted with a Sterling Vintage-Style tremolo and a set of locking tuning machines. The pickups in this guitar are a pair of Sterling Hot-Rodded dual humbuckers, these are wired to a 3-way selector, master volume, master tone and a kill-switch. The Hard Maple neck sits comfortably in the hand, with a profile closely resembling a 'C', this neck profile and the satin finish provide a smooth and articulate playing experience up and down the neck. The Hard Maple fingerboard is pleasant to the touch, and with its 12” radius makes bending and vibrato techniques a breeze, whilst offering a nice balance between comfortable chord playing and practicality for quick lead lines. The Medium High frets enhance vibrato techniques at speed whilst also providing a rock-solid and smooth playing experience. The Sterling Hot-Rodded humbuckers pickups provide the player with thick, warm voicing, with a distinct top-end that is articulate and well-defined. whilst eliminating the hum created by single coil pickups. The bridge pickup provides a fat and punchy humbucker-like sound, making power chords sound gritty, whilst also providing soaring lead tones. However, with subtler amp settings the bridge offers a bright, glassy clean tone. The middle position provides bright trebles and full warm bass, and lends itself well to rhythm tones. The neck pickup offers a smooth, warm, rounded tone that handles distorted tones as well as it handles clean tones. The points where the headstock would make contact with a guitar hanger demonstrates some light discoloration we have been unable to remove through regular cleaning. Neck: Overall very good condition, the fingerboard demonstrates some light staining in the early register to the treble side and the upper register of the bass side. This cannot be removed through regular cleaning. Body: Overall very good condition, all aspects of the body demonstrate light scratching and indentation visible only under direct lighting. This is most apparent to the front face lower bout. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability.
