Built in 2022 this guitar features a solid Sitka Spruce top, layered Rosewood back and sides, a 20 fret Mahogany neck, a West African Crelicam Ebony fingerboard and an Ebony bridge. Other features include a Venetian cutaway and an Expression System 2 (ES2) pickup​/​preamp system with controls for volume, treble and bass. The satin finish neck plays very well, offering a smooth and easy playing surface, its rounded profile feeling comfortable in the hand, easily suiting a wide range of players. The Venetian cutaway gives great access to the upper register and the Grand Auditorium body style feels full, without being overly large. The tone of the 214ce is rich and clear, with a warm low end, a punchy midrange, along with crisp and articulate highs.
