Here for sale we have a Taylor 510e electro-acoustic guitar in Gloss Natural finish. Made in the USA in 2016, this guitar features an all-solid construction comprising Mahogany back and sides, Lutz Spruce top, Mahogany neck and 20 fret Ebony fingerboard with matching bridge. The body is double bound in black with subtle multi-stripe purfling and rosette, along with a tortoiseshell pickguard. A Bone saddle and nut are fitted, along with a set of Taylor open-geared tuning machines. A Taylor behind-the-saddle piezo pickup is installed, and is wired to Taylor's Expression System 2 on-board preamp with shoulder-mounted controls for master volume, bass and treble. The Mahogany neck plays very well, with a Vintage-Style 'V' Profile which delivers a comfortable and smooth playing experience across the register. A bit of a departure for Taylor who usually use their own 'Taylor Neck Profile', this 'V' profile provides a highly ergonomic playing surface and easy reach in all fretboard positions. The Ebony of the fingerboard is luxurious under the fingers, and with its 16" radius is practical for a wide range of playing styles and techniques. The 24.875" scale length is on the short side for a dreadnought, and provides a slinkier feel to the strings. The smooth lines of the body are as comfortable in the arms as ever, and with two strap buttons the instrument is practical for both standing and seated playing. The acoustic voice of the Taylor 510e is rich and warm, whilst retaining plenty of clarity. The Lutz Spruce top projects beautifully, and provides a wide and sensitive dynamic range. Soft playing yields a gentle, intimate tone which would be ideal for fingerstyle players. Strumming harder with the fingers or a pick produces a bright and precise tone which captures all of the sparkle and chime of your playing. The Taylor Expression System 2 on-board preamp faithfully conveys the acoustic voice of the instrument, adding the versatility required for live and recording situations. A light indentation is apparent to the treble side tuning cavity beside the B string machine head. Very light scratching to the front face is visible under direct light, as is common with high gloss finishes. Neck: Overall excellent condition, it is difficult to discern any markings to the neck and fingerboard. Body: Overall excellent condition. Two very light indentations to the bottom of the front face near the strap button do not pierce the finish and are only visible under direct light. The pickguard shows light scratching consistent with light playwear. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any future fret work the new owner may wish to perform. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (1​/​4" socket) not included.
