This RockBass by Warwick was made in China in 2002 and features a bolt-on construction comprising an Ash, Maple neck and 24 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Chrome hardware is fitted including a 4-saddle fully adjustable Warwick bridge and Warwick sealed tuning machines. A pair of MEC passive single-coil pickups are installed, and are wired to an independent volume and tone controls.. The Maple neck plays superbly well, with the Warwick neck profile feeling somewhat like a 'C' shape. The profile is fairly substantial, but with the slightly flattened area to the centre rear encouraging ergonomic thumb positioning, it's easy to reach notes across the register. Paired with generous double-cutaway body design and sculpted neck heel, the full range of the instrument is easily accessible. The Rosewood of the fingerboard provides a tactile yet durable playing surface. The Warwick sound is well known for its deep growl, and the tonewood selection helping to secure a reputation amongst players for a versatile yet distinct tone that will stand out from the crowd. There are of course plenty of deep, rumbling lows which will fill out the band mix, whilst the punchy mids and sparkling top end help to create a driving sound and sense of urgency by capturing the attack of your playing. The on-board controls offer comprehensive tonal opportunities whilst maintaining a simple and non-intrusive character on the playing experience. Our ID: 1310525104541 Weight: 6.8lbs Serial: RBC021102-06 Aesthetic Condition: Headstock: Overall very good condition. The top edge of the headstock demonstrates light scuff marks. The front face demonstrates light scratches and a dulling of the finish. Neck: Overall very good condition. The rear of the neck has several small indentations when scrutinised closely however none can be felt underhand in the playing position. Body: Overall very good condition. There are some small lacquer cracks at the neck pocket where the neck meets the body, the neck has been removed and these are lacquer cracks and are of no structural concern. There are several small piercings to the body, particularly on the lower bout, however none break the finish. Light scratching is evident on all faces as is common with high gloss finishes. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate light indentations and flattening of the crown, not effecting playability. There is substantial material remaining for any future fret work the new owner may wish to perform. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5mm) not included. Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of oxidisation. The retainer for the nut which is attached to the neck itself has snapped on the bass side. The nut is completely stable, is fully adjustable and keeps tuning. Structural: No structural concerns to note.
