Made in Taiwan, this set-neck constructed guitar consists of a Solid Spruce top, Laminated Mahogany body, a Mahogany neck, and a 20-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include closed back chrome tuners, a Rosewood bridge, flower inlays, and a Yamaha AMF Preamp and Pickup System with controls for the volume, AMF, bass, mids, high, and EQ pass. The Mahogany neck plays very well, with a profile which could be described as a soft 'V' filling the hand comfortably without being at all cumbersome. This promotes ergonomic thumb positioning and easy reach across the register, perfect for a wide range of playing styles and techniques. The Gloss finish to the rear of the neck assists with smooth navigation of the 25.5" scale length, whilst the Rosewood fingerboard adds a touch of luxury to the already opulent playing experience. The acoustic voice of the Yamaha LW-15C is balanced and rich, providing great projection and good volume due its solid construction. This is most notable to the top edge where several indentations pierce and chip the finish. Neck: Overall good condition, the rear of the neck demonstrates consistent moderate indentation throughout the register which can be felt under the thumb in playing position. The binding demonstrates discoloration throughout the register due to regular use. Body: Overall fair condition, all aspects demonstrate scratching, indentation and chipping of the finish. This is most notable to the front face towards the treble side edge of the lower bout where a large patch of finish has chipped away. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate notable signs of use, which when bending in the early register can be felt under the string. There is moderate material remaining for future fret work. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional, truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included. Hardware: Fully functional with moderate signs of wear.
