Here for sale we have a Fender American Standard Stratocaster. Originally in Olympic White, a previous owner has refinished it in shell pink. Made in the USA in 2010, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising an Alder body, a Maple neck and 22 Medium Jumbo fret Rosewood fingerboard. The hardware featured on this guitar consists of a 2-point synchronized tremolo bridge and a set of Fender Classic Gear tuning machines. A trio of hand wound Mojo Stratocaster single-coil pickups are installed, these are wired to a CRL 5-way blade switch, master volume, neck and middle tone controls. The Satin Maple neck plays very well, with the Modern ‘C’ profile sitting very comfortably in the hand and promotes ergonomic hand positioning, feeling smooth whilst providing an articulate playing experience. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers and offers a tactile and durable playing surface, with the 9.5" radius working in conjunction with the Medium Jumbo frets to produce an authentically vintage playing experience, allowing for vibrato techniques and complex chordings to be played with ease. The hand wound Mojo Stratocaster Single-Coils pickups aim to provide pre-CBS fender tones. The bridge pickup provides bright and glistening trebles with plenty of spank, power chords sound gritty, whilst also providing soaring lead tones. However, with subtler amp settings the bridge offers a bright, glassy clean tone. The middle pickup produces bright trebles and full warm bass, and lends itself well to rhythm tones. The neck pickup has rounded creamer tones great for chordal phrasings or quick jazz style lines, whilst also handling higher gain settings masterfully, offering plenty of room for tonal sculpting. Further light indentation can be identified infrequently around the perimeter of the headstock. All aspects of the headstock demonstrate light scratching visible only under direct lighting. Neck: Overall very good condition, the rear of the neck has been sanded to remove the finish, which has provided a smooth and even playing surface. The bare wood is exposed and is gently discoloring as maple does once exposed to air. Body: Overall very good condition, this guitar has been re-finished in shell pink, which over the years has faded to an off-white. All aspects of the body demonstrate scratching, chipping and indentation throughout, with some of the chips revealing the wood beneath. The bottom edge demonstrates discoloration from resting on a stand. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (1​/​8" hex) not included. Hardware: Fully functional with light to moderate signs of wear. The tuners have been replaced for Fender Classic Gear Tuners. The pickguard and jack socket plate demonstrate consistent scratching. Structural: No concerns or issues to note. Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm Please be aware that the action on a guitar may move slightly in transit and this measurement is the current height. Strings on Guitar - 10-46 This guitar demonstrates mild fret noise which is only mildly apparent when amplified. This noise does not affect sustain of notes, nor does it affect bending the notes. The new owner may choose to raise the action to alleviate this. Electrics: Fully functional. The pickups have been replaced for a Mojo Strat set, with wiring harness replaced with CTS pots, CRL 5-way Switch and switchcraft jack. The wiring harness is from James Home of Tone.
