The Guitar This is a 1978 Gibson Les Paul Custom - in Ebony The Spec Mahogany Body Maple Cap Maple Neck Ebony Fingerboard Neck depth at 1st fret - 0.81", at 12th - 0.97" Slim - Medium Neck Profile Gibson Pat No. Pickups (Neck and Bridge) Tim Shaw Humbucker (Middle) Grover Tuners Weight 10lbs 12oz The Condition This guitar is in players grade condition. It was orignally a 2 pickup custom in cherry sunburst but has been routed and refinished to give it the "Peter Frampton" look. The original tuners and one pot have been replaced. The neck and bridge pickups are original but the middle pickup (Tim Shaw) has been added. The original serial number is visible under the finish. The serial number on the refin is to replicate the serial number on Framptons. The top of the body has a small split in the finish at one of the top seam lines and a couple of chips and dings. The sides of the body have a few chips and scuff marks. The back of the body has some bucklerash, standrash and a couple of dings. There is a tiny chip on the side of the neck in line with the 5th fret that you don't feel while playing. There are a few nicks around the top of the headstock. The frets are in good condition for their age with some playwear but no issues or buzzing. The electronics have been fully tested and work perfectly.
