Here for sale we have a Hamer Sunburst F​/​T 3 in Blue Sparkle finish. Made in China circa.2005, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising a Mahogany body, Mahogany neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. This instrument is fitted with black hardware consisting of a Tune-O-Matic bridge and Stopbar tailpiece along with a set of Hamer sealed tuning machines. The pickups installed are a pair of Hamer humbuckers, these are wired to a 3-way toggle switch, bridge volume, neck volume and a master tone control. The Mahogany neck plays very well, with a profile resembling a ‘C’ sitting very comfortably in the hand and providing a smooth and responsive playing experience in all registers. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, whilst its 12” radius ensures a nicely flat and consistent playing surface right the way up the register. The double cutaway body design enhances this further, with unrestricted access to the upper frets. The pair of Hamer humbuckers installed in this guitar deliver a thick and full throaty tone, with a warm low end and driving midrange that is complimented well by crisp and cutting highs. The roundness of the neck pickup is perfect for solo tones, whilst the brightness of the bridge position will put your rhythm playing front and centre in the mix. The pickups are fantastic for pushing the front end of an amplifier, whilst offering excellent dynamic control. The simple control layout is not intrusive to the playing experience and offers comprehensive control of your tone. The volume and tone pots are highly interactive, responding very well to subtle changes. Two chips to the finish can be seen to the corner bass side tip and the bottom bass side tip, these expose the wood beneath. The front face displays light to mild scratching, this is common with high gloss finishes. Overall very good condition. The fingerboard presents light markings, these are most noticeable to the 1st fret, 4th fret and from the 11th fret upwards, these can not be felt under the fingers in the playing position. Any other markings are difficult to discern. Overall very good condition. Lacquer cracking is present on either side of the neck joint, these do not affect the structure of the guitar. Light indentations can be seen to all faces of the body, these are most noticeable on the front face between the pickups and at the treble side edge on the front face, these have cracked the lacquer finish but do not expose the wood beneath. Light scratching is present to all faces of the body, these can only be seen under direct light. Condition of Frets: The frets show light to mild signs of use, not affecting playability. Flattening of the frets is noticeable through the entire register. There is moderate material remaining for any light fret work the new owner may wish to perform. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional & adjustable. No truss rod tool included (hex 4mm). Hardware: Overall Very good condition with light signs of wear. All the metal hardware displays light markings, the most noticeable can be seen to the low E tuning button where a scratch is present. The pick guard displays mild scratching, this is common with regular use in a high contact area. Structural: No concerns or issues to note. Strings on Guitar - 10-46 Height of string from 12th Fret- Treble 1.5mm - Bass 2mm Please be aware that the action on a guitar may move slightly in transit and this measurement is the current height. This guitar demonstrates mild fret noise which is only mildly apparent when amplified. This noise does not affect sustain of notes, nor does it affect bending the notes.
