Here for sale we have a Jackson X Series Signature Marty Friedman MF-1 in Gloss Black with White Bevels finish. Made in Indonesia in 2017, this guitar is based on Jackson's popular Monarkh singlecut design and features a set-neck construction comprising a Nato body with Plan Maple top, Mahogany neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Black hardware is fitted including a Jackson TOM-Style Adjustable bridge with Anchored tailpiece and Jackson Sealed Locking tuning machines. A pair of passive EMG MF Signature humbucking pickups are installed, and are wired to a 3-way toggle switch and independent volume and tone controls. The Mahogany neck plays fantastically well, with a profile which might be described as a moderately shallow 'D' shape. This works very well for the technical style of playing Friedman became known for as the lead guitarist of Megadeth. The flattened area to the centre rear of the profile encourages ergonomic thumb positioning across the register, ensuring that fast articulate licks are an effortless and breezy affair. The gloss finish to the rear of the neck assists with smooth navigation of the 24.75" scale, whilst the sculpted neck heel and single cutaway enhance access to the upper frets. The 12" fingerboard radius is traditional for a guitar of this style, and is paired with Jumbo frets for smooth execution of string bending and vibrato techniques. The pair of passive EMG MF Signature humbucking pickups installed in this guitar deliver thick, crushing tones, with all of the aggression you would expect from a Marty Friedman signature instrument. The neck position is round and powerful, driving your lead lines and solos to the front of the mix with ease. The bridge position is brighter and hotter, and saturates into a searing distortion tone when pushing your amp.
