Here for sale we have a LAG Tramontane T66ACE Electro-Acoustic guitar in High Gloss finish. Made in China in 2012, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising a Laminated Sitka Spruce top, Laminated Gaboon Mahogany back and sides, Gaboon Mahogany neck and 20 fret Indonesian Rosewood fingerboard with matching bridge. The body is double bound in black, with a matching rosette. A Black Graphite saddle and nut are fitted, along with a set of Chrome sealed tuning machines. An undersaddle piezo pickup is installed, and is wired to a Shadow DirectLAG preamp with controls for master volume, bass, treble, dynamics slider, phase reverse and mute. The Gaboon Mahogany neck plays very well, with a profile which might be described as a shallow 'D' shape which offers a smooth and responsive playing experience across the register. The flattened area to the centre rear encourages ergonomic thumb positioning, and ensures easy reach in all registers. The Indonesian Rosewood fretboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with it's 16" radius is practical for a wide range of styles and techniques. The cutaway of the body is quite generous, and ensures uninhibited access to the upper register. The acoustic voice of the LAG Tramontane T66ACE is bright and clear, with an open mid range and unpronounced yet accurate bass response. There is plenty of dynamic range thanks to the Auditorium body design, and with the Laminated Sitka Spruce top feels nicely responsive to the players touch. The on-board Shadow DirectLAG preamp faithfully conveys the acoustic tone of the instrument, adding the versatility required for live and recording situations. The edges of the headstock display light indentations, most notably to the treble side top edge where they have pierced the finish. A small indentation is present to the bass side of the front face between the A & D strings which has lightly pierced the finish. Very light scratching to all aspects of the headstock is visible under direct light, as is common with high gloss finishes. Neck: Overall excellent condition. The rear of the neck has polished to a light gloss through regular use. A very light scratch to the bass side rear of the neck is visible under direct light at the 9th fret. Any other markings to the neck and fingerboard are difficult to discern. Body: Overall very good condition. Light to mild indentations are scattered around all faces of the body. The most notable of these can be seen to the bass side waist edge where they have pierced through the finish. A further indentation is present at the treble side upper bout of the front face. Light to mild scratching to all aspects of the body is visible under direct light, as is common with high gloss finishes. This is most notable at the treble side of the soundhole and bridge consistent with playwear. Condition of Frets: The frets show mild signs of use, not affecting playability. Light flattening of the frets is apparent throughout the register. There is moderate material remaining for any light fret work the new owner may wish to perform. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included. Hardware: Overall excellent condition. All of the hardware displays light signs of past use.
