Here for sale we have a PRS SE Santana in Transparent Yellow finish. Made in Korea in 2010, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Mahogany body with a Maple Veneer, Mahogany neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Chrome hardware is fitted including a PRS Tremolo bridge and PRS designed sealed tuning machines. A Pair of PRS SE 245 Zebra humbucking pickups are installed, and are wired to a 3-way blade switch, master volume and master tone control. The Mahogany neck plays very well, with the Wide Fat profile filling the hand nicely for a substantial grip when chord playing, yet remaining slim enough for fast articulate melodic lines and solos. The gloss finish to the rear assists with smooth navigation of the 24.5" scale, whilst the signature PRS sculpted lower horn enhances access to the upper frets. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its 10" radius is practical for both chordal and melodic playing. The famous Bird inlays and the stand out colour of this guitar adds a sense of luxury to the playing experience. The pair of PRS SE 245 Zebra humbucking pickups installed in this guitar deliver full-bodied powerful tones, with a smooth and buttery attack that is well suited to a wide range of playing styles and genres. The neck pickup is warm, with plenty of power to push your solos and lead lines to the front of the mix. The bridge pickup is of course brighter and hotter, saturating into a snarling distortion when driving the amp; perfect for those rock riffs and rhythm parts. The pickups clean up nicely too, with shimmering clean sounds offering beautiful chord clarity. The front face demonstrates some light scratching and scuffing visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. Neck: Overall very good condition. The rear of the neck displays light indentations some of which have broken the lacquer finish, this can be seen behind the 2nd fret on the treble side, this can be felt in the playing position. Body: Overall very good condition, the front face demonstrates consistent light scratching by the pickups, consistent with the use of a plectrum. This causes a slight hazing of the finish. All aspects of the body demonstrate very light scratching to a lesser degree, visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. The rear demonstrates multiple instances of indentation cracking, but not chipping, the finish. This will not worsen through regular use. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate moderate signs of use, with indentation and flattening apparent throughout the register. This does not affect playability. There is moderate material remaining for future fret work. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (7mm socket) not included.
