Roland Juno 60 Synthesizer

Roland Juno 60, Second-Hand Overview Item in good condition. Minor signs of use (small scratches or marks) The distinctive sound of the '80s, at an accessible price point! The Roland Juno-60 is a classic analogue synthesizer, produced by Roland Corporation between 1982 and 1984. It was the successor to the Juno-6, released just months prior, and both models were nearly identical in design. The Juno synthesizers were significant for their use of digitally controlled oscillators (DCOs), a technological advancement that provided superior tuning stability compared to other analogue synths of the time. Designed as affordable alternatives to higher-end polyphonic synthesizers like the Sequential Circuits Prophet-5 and Roland’s own Jupiter-8, the Juno-60 and Juno-6 became standout instruments in their own right. While the Juno’s single oscillator was less complex than some of its competitors, Roland compensated by including a built-in chorus effect, which became the synth's signature sound, adding warmth and depth to the otherwise simpler tones. The Juno-60 made a major impact on the music scene of the 1980s, contributing to iconic tracks such as a-ha's "Take On Me", George Michael's "A Different Corner", and Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time." Its lush tones and characteristic chorus effect were instrumental in shaping the sound of ‘80s pop. This example is in great condition relative to its age, and has been fully tested by our Pro Audio department. There is a cosmetic blemish to the pitch wheel and volume pot for headphone use was slightly crackly upon arrival however this has been remedied with some deoxit!
